Introduction

Welcome to One Line. By using the app, website, Android version or features connected to One Line, you accept these Terms of Service. If you do not accept them, you should not use the app.

One Line is published by Maxime Manseau. For questions, email max.manseau01@gmail.com.

1. Service description

One Line is a puzzle game where you complete levels by drawing a path according to the game rules. It can be used on the web and, when available, as an installed Android app.

One Line is local-first: several features can run on your device without an account and sometimes without a network connection. Some features, such as sync, accounts, leaderboards, duels or content publishing, may require Internet access or authentication.

2. Use of the app

You may use One Line to play official levels, join Daily Challenges, save progress, create custom levels and use available in-app features.

You must not use One Line to:

  • harm the operation of the app or its services;
  • access data, accounts or systems that do not belong to you;
  • bypass game rules, manipulate leaderboards or cheat;
  • publish or share illegal, abusive, misleading or rights-infringing content;
  • use the app in a way that harms other players, the service or One Line’s reputation.

3. Local profile and optional account

One Line may ask you to choose a local username to create a player profile on your device. This profile helps save progress, preferences, custom levels and some gameplay data.

Creating an online account is optional except for features that require authentication. If you sign in, some data may be synced so you can recover progress or use online features.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for use of your account. Contact us promptly if you believe your account was used without permission.

4. Local data, sync and data loss

Some data is stored locally on your device or in your browser. It may be lost if you delete app data, clear browser storage, uninstall the app, change devices or if a technical issue occurs.

When sync is available and enabled, One Line may try to save some data online. Sync may be delayed or temporarily fail because of network issues, service outages, incomplete configuration or technical errors.

We make reasonable efforts to avoid data loss, but we cannot guarantee that data will never be lost, corrupted, delayed or impossible to recover.

5. Leaderboards, scores and Daily Challenges

One Line may display leaderboards, results, statistics or relative positions between players. These features are provided for entertainment.

We may correct, hide, reset or remove a score or leaderboard entry if we reasonably believe there was an error, cheating, abuse, manipulation, technical problem or conduct contrary to these Terms.

Daily Challenges and automatically generated levels may vary by date, version or configuration. They may be changed, rebalanced or removed.

6. Custom levels and user content

One Line may let players create, save, import, export, publish, share, rate or report levels, worlds or other user-created content.

You keep your rights in content you create, but you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free and transferable license as needed to host, store, display, distribute, technically adapt, moderate, promote and make that content available in One Line.

You must not create, publish or share content that:

  • is illegal, hateful, harassing, threatening, defamatory or abusive;
  • contains sexually explicit, violent, shocking or inappropriate content;
  • infringes copyright, trademarks, publicity rights or privacy rights;
  • contains sensitive personal information or encourages cheating.

We may refuse, hide, unpublish or remove content if we reasonably believe it violates these Terms, platform rules or applicable law.

7. Feedback, ads and third-party services

If you send feedback, comments, suggestions, reports or ideas, you allow us to use them to improve, fix, promote or develop One Line without compensation.

One Line may display ads or integrate advertising services, including third-party services that apply their own policies, technologies and settings.

One Line may also use third-party services for hosting, authentication, sync, databases, optional analytics, error tracking or app distribution. Those services may be subject to their own terms.

8. Intellectual property, availability and beta features

One Line, including its name, logo, interface, design, code, text, official levels and non-user-created visual elements, belongs to Maxime Manseau or its rights holders unless otherwise stated.

You receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use One Line according to these Terms.

One Line is provided as is and as available. Some features may be beta, experimental, incomplete, unstable, changed frequently or removed without notice.

9. Liability, privacy, law and contact

To the extent permitted by law, One Line is provided without express or implied warranty. We are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential losses arising from use of, or inability to use, the app.

Data collection, use, retention and sharing are described in the Privacy Policy. These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in Quebec, Canada, except where mandatory rules require another law.

We may update these Terms as One Line evolves. Your continued use after a new version is published means you accept the updated Terms.
